Adding SWF to SWF in KoolMoves???
I have a KM Keyframe that has a imported image Effect that shows a book cover appearing from the distance.
Following that, I have a SWF script imported that is a SWF where the copy of the book cover opens revealing the inside left and right pages. Following that, I imported another SWF that allows the user to click and the pages flip left or right.
My Problem is, that when I run this, either exporting and plaing in a borwser or within KM, only the first, the image of the cover appearing from the distance, plays, and loops at that! The KML export/swf stops at the end of the first Keyframe and loops instead of running hrough to the 2nd and third Keyframes - even though they show in the Keyframe tree.
All files are in the same folders. Any ideas as to how to run one script after the other in the same movie - stopping after the 3rd Keyframe opens?

Source would help.
I have a SWF script imported that is a SWF
Not sure what you mean by this. Imported SWF in KM or LoadMovie? Is the SWF made in KM?
If loadeMovie make sure you upload the other swf file to server. Also make sure Looping is off in the HTML

Bret,
Thnx for quick reply.
To see the example I speak of, go here http://www.raelistic.com/biotest/scene1.htm
I explain there better with the actual files.
To detail it a bit, I open KM, then Import > Image (a jpg file) and using Effects, cause the effect of the jpeg enlargingb into view.
Then, still in KM, Import the SWF file that animates the cover opening realing left and right page. This should overlay, or cover the first Effect (KeyFrame 1)
Then, Import > SWF which overlays the second KF allowing interaction tween the user and pages
The second KeyF and 3rd, is an "Import > SWF..." made using SWF 'n Slide Pro as is the third. I'd gice you the link, but v e r t i c a l m o o n is being censored. Each SWF is brought into the KM file using Import>SWF. LoadMovie was not used.

Should be a few ways to force the issue either through scripting or timeline manipulation but we need the source and the two vertical moon swf's to test with to make sure it not their exports creating the situation. Well...they would help.

First - I really appreciate all the help - .
The KM SWF is the first scene at the top where the cover is supposed to enlarge into place. The two SWF's by VM are the second and third scenes.
If you look at the SWFs (click here) you will see the book cover come into view it is the single SWF by KM. This is OK, but when via KM the second SWF is imported after the first SWF, into a new KeyFrame, nothing happens - I can see in the KM Preview a vertical bar flash, then the 2nd, the book cover opening, appears. But, if I put this on the net, nothing happens!
Each on their own work fine. I need to tie them into one so the cover comes into view, a pause and the cover opens (2nd SWF), and then after it is opened, the user can click through the pages (SWF3)

Why not just scale and fade the imported SWF? And since you're using the pageFlip source in Flash why not just do the whole thing in Flash?

Thanks for your time in responding...

The scale is correct. Fade? Well, I tried several of the KM built-in Effects, all resulting in the same vertical bar. Point is, the scale is set to the same size of the image plus the left size. On it's own, a s a single SWF by KM, it works - the site I link to shows that toi be the case. The problem arrises when it is followed by another SWF.

Sorry if I mislead you. If one tool could do it all, I would do that, but pageFlip is not, I haven't seen it, in KM. VMoon is not as obliging as KM, and VM lacks some of the finer things blessed in KM. But, VM does have the Pflip - in my case, a needed effect.
Back on track - I already tried, as you suggest, to do it all in one tool, but will revisit it again - thanks.

Oh yeah....you know what happened to my Vertical Moon products once I (and you) bought Koolmoves? They immediately became useless
Stick with KM...it can do it all.

I laughed when I saw their site, that's a lot of $$ for a limited product. There is very little you can do in flash that cannot be done in Koolmoves.
I have the source for that flash pageflip, looks to me like Vertical Moon took the opensource flash code and adapted it. (what Chris get excited about this topic )

I think the basics of my problem have been lost in program preferences...

Personally, I have no loyalty to any program. If one does what I need and another does something else I need, they both worked. In this case, the Necromanthus 'book flip' is a hard flip only - that is, a greatb job on the hardcover part of the book but really not a page flip for pages. The page 'change' is what a hadcover would do, an option in the 'other' program, and a page flip, is, well, a 'flip' wherein the page curls a bit and turns like a soft piece of paer and not a hardcover of a book for paper. The example pages I gave show the hardcover of the book moving like a hardcover, and the page - paper being softer, turning like paper would.
Personal preferances aside...
Using the bookflip from Necromanthus.com and some screen captures of your bookflip (because you never attached any source images or flash or KM code !!!!!)
I thought I mentioned, and see I didn't, that I don't have the sources - any more.
I can emulate what you are doing....
I really do appreciate the time and effort to show me the errors of my ways - however, as well as the Nec 'book' flip works, my job for the client is to make a 'page' flip, like soft paper.
with your source images it could be perfect but without them I can only get close enough to show you this working example:
You did a great job of making your point. If KM had a book flip, which I guess it does AND a page flip, I wouldn't be pulling my hair out.
The real and only problem is getting, as I pointed out, the inside event to work without the border of the book flipping - the whole gist of my thread here.
This my friend is all Koolmoves.
Kool BUT, the hard flip aside, the whole book flips, not just the page, as in the demo I linked to.

I wish you nothing but the best on your quest to solve your problem. I'm going to smoke the previous link to save server space and drive on. I lost interest right after the word "client".
