    From Final Cut to FLV

First off, I'm putting a 7minute movie as a progressive download on my website. Am i foolish for doing this? It's filmed with a regular Hi8 Video camera and there are constant cuts and the smallest I have gotten it is 10mb. That was by compressing it to sorenson3 from final cut and then doing the lowest quality setting in Flash. Any better advice?

Also when I try to compress to h264 on my mac and open it on my PC through Flash it says it can't read the file. What am I doing wrong with that?

    Thanks

    FCP to FLV

    hello,
I did the same stuff as . from FCP export as FLV data rate max 500 sound 160, so the flv file 54,2 Mb (quite a big file)

Then on the FLV playback component, Iset up buffer size to 40 seconds, might be able to reduce that after more streaming test, but the video plays smoothly.
if you want to have a look, I think that looks and sounds great.

    hohnjarper,

Flash will only playback h.263 or vp6 video. So you cannot playback h264 video in flash.
