Ummm, Flash doesn't support import of .wmv dynamically. I don't think you can import to the editor either.

You may use Flashants FMProjector/FMPlayer to play wmv in swf files. Go http://www.flashants.com for more info

hey thanx,
i just put the wmv movies in the timeline

Hi.
Flash will allow you to import a .wmv file into Flash directly and will convert it to an MX video swf that will appear on your timeline - but you can't do very much with that file once it's in your timeline.
As BigMouse noted, you can use their software to load a .wmv file from a Flash file separately.
If you want to convert your .wmv files into FLV files that can be imported into Flash, our software Flix is the only way to do that.

Jonathan,
Could he export the .wmv on his timeline as a QT .mov then import that to the library as a linked movie - or convert the .mov to .flv with Sqeeze?

Hi.
Yes, he can convert the .wmv to a .swf in Flash and export that .swf as .mov from Flash (or .avi) and he could convert the .mov or .avi to .flv with Squeeze, or preferrably with Flix
However, that is putting the video through a lot of compression stages which is not good. Additionally, in our experience .wmv files convert into other formats worse than any other format (because they are the most compressed of all video files), so you have to be careful about quality issues.

Thanks a lot...
You have all helped out tremendously.
If you could check out my other post "quicktime problem"
and tell me if you have the answer to that on.
Thanks again.

Video to Flash Converter converts AVI, WMV, ASF, MOV to SWF without any quality lossless.
