    Small Games Site

    Hi guys,

I want to add some more games to my site (and it's a small site, not much traffic yet so don't get too excited!) for people to play, at the moment all I have is my (pretty poor) space shooter game.

So if you fancy having your game on my site let me know. I wont edit your game in anyway and will have a author bio typr of info with your game so people know you made it. If you have a site I'll link to that as well.

    Thanks for reading.

You can put any of my games on your site if you want to. You can check them out on www.gamesquid.com - just let me know which games you need and I'll send you the swf's.

Each time I release a new game, my traffic increases to about 10 000-30 000 unique visitors daily for a few weeks, so I think they're fairly popular.

Did I mention I've only just started it as well?

here's what I've got do far link there's still a lot of work to do on it (in fact I only started a few hours ago). I've been thinking about doing something serious with my web space for awhile but never got around to it, I figured if I had other peoples work to display as well it would give me a kick up the ass so I started working properly!

Talking of which, I still need to get a high score table for my game working!

That is quite impressive. What would you say it usually baselines back to after the release-hype dies down?

I try to release a game each month, but Brainbots was under development for about three months, so my traffic was down to about 3000 at the time I released it. Two days after I released Brainbots, I had 30000 uniques in a day, and it's been going down again since. It's now three weeks later I think, and it's about 10000 a day.
I'll have a new small game ready in a week or two, it probably won't be as popular because it's rather simple, but I'm hoping it will be enough for a boost.

That must leave quite a void in your wallet. 30,000 uniques in a day with swf downloads... ouch. You must have easily been breaking 1gb bandwidth per day, am I right?

Yeah, I had to change hosts, and then upgrade my package from 100gb to 400gb (not that 400 was needed, but there were no options in between), in about one month.
I've had periods where I had about 6 gb transfer in one day.

That's the main reason I have banners on my site. They don't make me much money, but they do pay back my hosting.

I'm amazed with this frankly, after all, it's just a site with a couple of games I made myself. My other website has been running for years, and has an extablished community, the biggest one of it's subject in my region, and it only had about 2000-4000 uniques a day, and I thought that was a lot. Then I make a site with some of my own games, and boom, my other site looks really small.

EDIT : what am I saying, I've actually had up to 23.03gb in one day once.

The most I've ever used in a day is something like 80-100gb... if you only count html/php and images then my highest is around 6gb. With the amount of traffic you are receiving though, I think there is a lot of potential to expand your site (and profits)...

That's impressive! I know I could be making more profits from advertising, but I can't seem to find an ad network that's suitable. I have now signed a 2 month contract with one network for my US traffic, I'll see how that works out.
I wish I could use adsense, but I was banned a while ago, because of some problems on my previous site. Sigh.

Sorry I went M.I.A but my brother just rebuilt my PC and it took a little longer than expected but I'm up and running again now.

I will contact everyone who has shown an interested over the next few hours.

Yeah, I definitely want to make more games in the future but at the moment my priority lies in getting this site working. I don't have high expectations of how popular it will become but it would be nice if I could set it up so members can join, play and upload games (and things on other sections) and have some forums. Oh, and I'm building that myself instead of just downloading an already made one and editing that. Why? because that's just the way I am!
