    remember ET for Atari

i recently found my old atari and started rummaging thru the games when I came across the biggest disappointment of my childhood ET “the worst video game”. If you can't remember this disaster check out the video wintergreen did about it http://www.keithschofield.com/et/

I don't know, i kinda liked the game, running around from screen to screen, it was kind of psychodelic. i still have my atari somewhere, though the adapter is broken, i should fix it.

I actually liked the game as well. When i was like 7 or 8 i used to play that a lot. Granted, i never knew what the hell i was supposed to do, or why i was being chased, or by who, or why i would fall down into a pit with a flower just because i bumped into a block...

It wasnt any worse than raiders of the lost ark. Did you ever get to that oasis screen that was nothing but horizontal lines in different shades of brown? I never got past that or knew if it was a major bug.

i still have mine hooked up, and i still really like adventure.
getting the bat to carry you around at the end of the game...so cool.
pitfall is still fun to play, but you have to be so precise with your movements.

et was pretty lame...i still have the cartridge, but it doesn't work.
neither does my raiders of the lost ark.
    but demons for diamonds....oh yeah!

Ah, these boys is all swelled up. So this was earlier...getting set to trade. Then, woooaaah differences.

I used to play adventure on my 8088 in all its monochrome goodness.

What was the game where you had an overhead map showing different shaped rooms and you had to go into each one and gets it treasure while fighting/avoiding its monster?
The rooms where the monster would immediatly chase were some of the most exciting gaming moments in my life. Up there with my first fight with ganon, my first zombie in encounter in RE and passing 180 lines in tetris.

EDIT: found it, was called Venture

For those of us that got rid of our Atari systems the minute they were outdated.
