    Bubble Pop

Any hoo, a little while back i started a thread for a game i was going to release soon and i need people to test the FPS. http://board.flashkit.com/board/showthread.php?t=673199

Well like a week after that i finished it but i never actualy showed you what i had done. Well i figure i will now, im not going to host it on the net, i dont like the slowdown of running it in a browser so if you want to play it you can download the enclosed ZIP file which has the SWF in it.

Feel free to comment on it or what ever, i made it for fun and for learning purposes so the awsomeness of the game doesnt concern me to much, but hopefully its not to bad.

This was actualy my first and only completed game in the 18 months i have been programming, it was completed about 4 months ago and i spent about 2 weeks and about 1 hour of those days making it.

Everything in this game is mine, all AS, grafix, and the sounds. There was a thread a little while go about making an underwater scene and daydream posted some realy nice pics of how to make one, i had made this before that so i didnt copy him nor did he copy me (Wish he did though, lol) so, yeah.

Instructions a straight forward but there are 2 things that you might want to know when playing. If you loose a life, all bubbles on the screen will pop (You dont get points for them) and they start from the bottom again. Same goes if you go up a level.

Wow this turned out to be a little longer that i expected, oh wells, have fun popping.

PS: Im running a AMD Athlon 2000+ 1.65 ghz, so anything above that will run it fine, dont know about how slow of a comp will run it.

Great job on the game! I'm just curious to know where you got the bubble sounds.

And you spelled "You Lose" wrong on the gameover screen

    Wow, that's crazy fun.

Mine was smooth enough at about 19 fps, but I'm on a really old Windows form 2000 or something, everything is slower...

I wasn't really sure what the bar on the left was for, it jumped around alot and I couldn't figure out why...it might help you to know that I have no sound on this computer either, no speakers plugged in.

    anyway...
    level 11
    score 10526
    time 176

you should tell what the time is measured in, seconds or what?

perhaps just a few words at the beggining like "pop the bubbles" or "don't pop the bubbles" (whichever the point was, I tried popping them, and that seemed to work for me) a countdown might be nice too...

    *goes to play it again*

"loose" means something is not tight.
    "lose" means you don't win.

Other than those crits, fun game. My score was 1911

Well, I couldn't play it and I have the flash player 8

I like very much your idea, can I make it for my web page? and maybe say "based on a GLOO POT game" or something, I think there are too many things that can be done in that kind of games

By the way, 2 years ago I made a game for a client

    http://www.ryp.com.mx/games/pegalocos.html

Also bubbles, but I like yours

Just click and keep pressing bubbles with eyes to release the little monsters traped inside, and let me say that I HATE! the laser beam, but the client wanted this way

What do you mean scheletro, do you want to put my game on your site, remake it?
I dont want it on any sites, but feel free to make your own version but i would like it if you didnt use my GFXs.

PS: If you do end up selling your version, put in a good word me ok, i want to do some client work in the very near future

What's GFXs?, graphics and sound effects?

Don't worry, I'll do my own version, I just like to give credit to people's ideas like this one, is an easy and fun game, those are the best!, well, for me they are

at last I could play the last version, I had to play it trough the browser, so my player is 8 in the browser ans 6 in the stand alone LOL

Well, what can I say, I like more the first one, faster, and in this last the bubbles run almost at the same speed, I was waiting some power ups like freeze bubbles on the screen or a bonus bubble to earn more points, maybe a 1 UP bubble, or a bomb to pop all bubbles in the screen, do you like the ideas?
