swf browser

have problems using swf browser.... i cant parse an swf file... i keep receiving this error "the operatipon cannot be performed, since there is no swf selected"... when in fact there is... pls help me

The SWF must be playing in the internal player of SWF brower and not a a stand alone projector of its own.

What OS are you using?

See I have 2 computers with SWF browser installed on them. One computer has Win 95 installed as an OS the other Win 98. SWF browser works fine in the win 95 version but plays all SWF's in their own projector files on Win 98. Which is odd and makes SWF browser useless.

I even deleted my copy of Flaplayer.exe to get it so that SWF's wouldn't play as standalones but nothing I did seemed to work.

This is the fix I think.

Click on my computer then go to view and select folder options.

Find the Shockwave Flash format. Now select it and hit edit.

Now on actions click edit.

Edit the open action so that SWF Browser is the defualt app instead of FlaPlayer.exe

that should fix it.

Okay that first post will fix it 1 time only.

To fix it permantly do this.

Click on my computer:

Click on view

Click Folder Options

Click on Show files Tab

Click on Shockwave Flash Object

Click edit

Click new action

Type Play in the action and Type "C:\Program Files\SWF Browser\SWFBrowser.exe" in the application slot.

then click OK and that should fix it.
