File loading problems

I am currently using "flash mx 2004" and i was sent a flash file from my friend's computer who uses "flash mx". When I try to load the file it brings up an error message that says "a disc error occurred during a read operation". Does it have something to do with the vesion of flash?

I dont think so do u have the fla or its an swf??? if its an swf does it work fine when played stand Alone??

i think the flash file is corrupted.. there is no problem with version
flash is backward compatible all previous version file definately work in later version
