    [Complete] Jumpagon (please play)

    Please play my new game It's called Jumpagon. You have to step over the most wagons of the same color and then update your score using space bar. The most wagons you step on in a row, the highest your score will be. You'll get it better in the Help of the game. Please take a try and hope you like it

    P.S.: If you can give it a nice score on NG I'd thank it a lot

    First time I tried then the movie at NG never ended preloading screen, it stopped at 100% with the text "loading.. please wait". I had to reload the page, then it worked fine.

    In the help section it is usually good idea to hide Next and Previous buttons when they do not work, for example in the first page of help pressing Previous does not do anything. You could either remove that button from first page or make the help go to last page.

    The game itself was pretty good, I almost made into top 10
    I like the idea of gathering points until you press the button and only then are they added to the score, it gives interesting choice between being greedy and getting more points or acting safer and securing the score.

    Biggest problem I had was about deign of the game stage. Because all the action happens in the quite small area at the bottom of screen and you should keep eye on there or you lose precious points then life and current color markers on the top area are preety much ignored. Also, the big texts announcing current points, bonuses and score increase are pointless by the same reason - you never have enough time to read those texts. So basically from the game screen only bottom quarter is used and 3/4 of the screen is wasted.

    Also, the hittest area between hero and bad spiky thingy was a bit too large for my liking, it would be nice to have the hittest slighlt more forgiving.

    Then the falling bombs should not fall straight down. If the appear over wagon X they should move left with same speed as the wagon has, currently they fall straight down ignoring the speed of wagons which means the bombs in reality move to the right.

    I have the same problem as TonyPa but reloading will not work. For some reason, I have had this problem with a lot of NG content but it was only after I upgraded to FP9. If I really want to play the movie I will download the swf via the page info tool in Firefox and play it through FP8 on the desktop (though it will still freeze I can usually advance it past the freezing point with the player controls). Mmm, I'm not sure if anybody else has this problem all the time... I wish i could review it but maybe this is helpfull too

    Nice and different concept of a game

    I like the 3D efects and the deph in the back, but for me some of the graphics look like low quality bitmaps

    Nice game, good concept I agree with Tonypa on the points announcing text, they could maybe come from the wagon you got the point from?

    I do disagree with Tonypa on how the bombs should fall. Why should they travel at the same speed as the train? They come from the sky, so they should have the grounds speed, (or the speed of the wind, but thats just too complicated and uneccesary)

    The game was a bit slow on this computer, but this is my work-pc. When I turned off detail and animation it ran fine. Maybe you should offer the player to disable those things if the game doesnt run as smooth as it should?

    No tonypa, The train is moving not the screen so therefore the bombs wouldnt move.

    um... well, yes, I am confusing something there

    If you look at the ground, it is moving right too, so if the bomb would stay on one spot over the ground, it should move right with the ground.

    The game is good, as well as the idea. The jump speed is to slow. Also, the bomb speed needs to be changed.

    I went crazy with the blue wagons =)

    Well, that may be right.. hehe... the only thing i noticed was that it shouldnt move with the wagons.. Wether it moves with the ground or not, i cant really remember, and i dont bother loading up the game just to check that right now..

    Tonypa- thanks for all your advices. You're right, bombs should move with the same speed as the ground, I didn't think about that. About the screen space, I made it that way cus I don't know how could I place the train in the middle of the screen, so I used that area for the texts; I use to see them usually but I guess it's a bit difficult to keep attention to both the texts and the actual game area.

    Yeah, that's the point glad you liked it.

    gotoAndFLASH- I don't know why that happens

    scheletro- thanks for your comment They are low quality bitmas because at first I made it without taking in count the game space, but it was like 6 megs large, so I had to reduce all the bitmaps to save some space.

    T1ger- Thanks a lot for your comment, I'm glad you liked it. I made the disable animation option due to that fact, but you're right, I should have pointed that out.

    grimreaper1377- Thanks grim . Didn't think about the jumping speed but that should have been useful.

    tidenburg- maybe I should make the game to take less time.
