Help!!!!!!flash9 Is Killing Me!!!!!!!!!

Hi, I am new to the forum. I have tried to read the posts about Flash9, but can't make heads nor tails. It says no question is STUPID. Well, maybe I am the one stupid. Here is the problem. I downloaded Flash9. Whenever I open sites that use flash(myspace for instance) I get a pop-up box that says something about the flash.ocx error, then it closes out every window that is open. I am not a computer wiz BUT I am not completely dumb when it comes to computers. Maybe it is too many chair shots to the head as I am a pro wrestler. Anyways, if someone could help me, it would be GREATLY appreciated. You can post here, or email me with instructions on what to do to fix this. [email protected]. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!!

Just to clarify, you are most likely talking about Flash PLAYER 9, not Flash 9. Flash 9 is the tool (actually one of the tools) used to create Flash content, and the Flash Player is what plays back the created content.

But I'm afraid I can't offer you much help. You can try removing the Flash Player installation on your computer and reinstalling it. If that doesn't work, there might just be something wrong with your computer and a reinstall (after backup) should do the trick. But there might be less drastic solutions.

Yes I meant Flash PLAYER 9(sorry, told you I am not a computer wiz). I have uninstalled it using the uninstaller from Flash player 9 and reinstalled several times. I keep getting the pop-up error box telling me something about flash.ocx and when I click continue at the bottom of the box, it closes out every window open. Don't know what to do. I have noticed that alot of sites(myspace mainly) has switched to flash player 9 and it urges people to download it.

Did you use the uninstaller in Add/Remove Programs, or the one from Adobe that will remove all traces of it from your system? I believe Adobe has a technote on this, try searching their site.
