Had to finally redo Cubezilla!... so I did it all with Tiger instead... clean install after the HD died 2 hours after I made a full backup.

I had it set up as a dual boot with XP and Vista. I uninstalled Yahoo Messenger off of the XP partition and it happened to take off some critical operating system files with it. I've run with purely Vista for 2 or 3 weeks now and it has worked so much better than XP. I don't know if I have the perfect hardware configuration for Vista but I am running the 64-bit version and programs that I use on a daily basis all work. This includes, Photoshop, InDesign, Flash, PHP Designer, SWF Studio, Firefox, iTunes, FileZilla, MS Office 2007, and Solitaire. I downloaded RC2 the other day so now I just gotta get around to updating it.

How is it compared to the Beta 2?

It is alot better than beta 2. I could only have Flash running on Beta 2 for about 10-15 minutes before it would crash. So far I haven't seen anything crash on RC1 except MSN Messenger once. I typically don't shut down my computer anymore either. The hibernate feature on Vista works like it should have workd with XP. When I leave ork I hit the power button and it goes into hibernate. Th next day I hit the power button, it takes 3-4 seconds to wake up and all of my projects are still open. I only lose about 5% of my battery in 15 hours of hibernate.
