    [test]Valo

Another game from me, use the mouse and draw lines over the tiles.

    http://ian.janasnyder.com/valo.htm

    instructions

Whenever you hit a tiles, it will make a random musical note; try to get everything except red

blue - clear before next level
    red - harmful
    green - bonus
    yellow - restore life
    purple - restore time

I've also made a very beta level editor for the game:
    http://ian.janasnyder.com/editor.htm
if you want to create a level, click on the tiles to change them, then copy the text and post it here, I might just add it to the game!

PLEASE, post any feedback you can here, any qualms or small annoyances even...anything you can think of.

    Thanks!

Nice little game, i thought it was very easy though. I was just mucking around and got to level 19. Also I think you should make the light blue squares a little darker I was having trouble seeing them on my LCD monitor. But other then that nice work.

    Capt,

Neat little game. I love the little effects that happen when you write over the blocks. Its like squishing pimples lol.

Only annoyances I had was the same as hooligan. Some of the blue squares were hard to see (using a laptop lcd).

Other than that the game is very fun and I didn't have any other problems.

That's kinda fun. I sort of agree with the other comments, but it did have a really nice 'ambient' feel to it.

My only suggestions would be maybe to play different (i.e discordant) notes when you hit the incorrect tiles, or by the enemies.

Captain_404, cool little game. Looks very clean and pro. Not really my type of game, I'm never really interested by mouse games, but it seems to play exactly like this game should.

I made the ugly sin of not reading the instructions before the game so I spent most of the time just getting the blue ones (to my own peril), not sure if that was my fault or if it wasn't clear enough. Also, maybe the red flyers should only be able to hit you while you're "drawing".

Love the sounds, do they interact with the game in any meaningful way? By that I mean, do they change based on what you are doing? Do they change or increase in volume or something when you combo more blocks with a single stroke? Its seems like the sounds should convey something meaningful to the player. (as a side note, I've been dying to come-up-with/see a game where the sound is an important part of the gameplay, and not in some dance-dance-revolution sort of way either)

Thanks for the feedback guys, I'll have to try to darken the blue, but it always seems to clash too much with the other colors, I guess I'll give it another go...

I agree completely, and I've been thinking the same thing, at one point I considered making an enemy that has a sort of low base sound that would get louder the nearer they are to you, but I have yet to find a good loop (any tips?)

    I love this.
It's very soothing. It almost feels more like a musical toy than a game.

For some reason I want the the colors to be clearly defined tiles, like with borders or something. I don't know why. I guess it just feels like since each one is a note, I want to feel like I'm hitting each one individually.

    Really nice though.

it appears you do hittests with the mouse, and not the ink spray (ive seen ink sprayed over tiles, but they didnt dissapear)

other than that, very nice!! :)

If you click and hold from when a level ends to when the next one starts, you draw a very large spot. Other than that, pretty cool!
