I'd like to thank a lot of people for helping me build my alpha and now I've moved into some what of a beta stage. I ask that you tell me the problems you find and or If you think their is a way to improve the game please tell me. Thanks once more to the board.
"Normal mode works only"
D-keys to move
Left click to shoot
or hold it down for full charge
I like the movement and the general look and feel. And think that this could be a pretty cool game.
But, for me, everything was too big in the game area, I couldn't really avoid the enemies, and the 'judder' when you get hit is a little too extreme (but this probably relates to my first point.)
Also, the boss killed me, but I didn't die (or game didn't restart) I just ended up being a dot that could shoot upwards (see grab.)
I think there is room for improvment, so don't be put off by the apparently negative comments.
I left a few functions out side the death function. charlie_says thanks for the bug. and you say there is too much game play space. what is your screen resolution.
the main menu is very difficult to understand,- I skiped the first time your game because I thought all you did was the rotating menu and even that one wasn´t logical to me,- here the procedure I took the first time:
-clicked on the gamepad but the game didn´t start (seem to be controls),
- clicked on the cannon tower but again the game didnt start (icon seems to be a swtich as settings)
- clicked on the last red icon but again the game didn´t start, then clicked on the big black button on the left corner but turned me to the main menu
- the game it self has very loud SFX (all other guys here turned around but I had just medium sound volume set)
- the control sheme (parallel moving, instead of object turn moving) irritated me at first but just slightly but understood the controls pretty fast
- nice shake effects
Well, for normal mode thats pretty hard. The monsters the boss spawns ain't shootable. You can shoot after you die. No ending? I had to guess which buttons to press on the menu. Other than that its a nice start :-)
