    WOW.

i love the feather detail on this. i love the angle of the wings and the body. the lighting looks perfect, and the background colours are a really nice contrast.

i think i would go so far as to say this is my favourite of all your shots posted here. and that's saying something.....

    just, wow.

EDIT: can't stop staring at it!

Amazing shot! It looks as if the bird was suspended in mid-flight long enough for you to take the picture. I don't think you could have asked for a better wingspan. That's definitely a National Geographic-worthy cover shot right there.

Thanks guys. I hyperventilated when I saw it on my monitor for the first time.

Here's a crop big enough for a wallpaper if anyone wants it.

    Awwww, shucks.

Frex, tell me how. I have gotten a few of my pics published in the local papers, but just got the "honorable mention", no money.

Very nice shot indeed. I think you need to update your signature on there though. Im guessing it is a new shot since one like this probably doesn't get kept to ones self for very long, but it still says 2006 on there.

this shot is unreal. I sure hope you're backing up your photos in case something happens.

i just lost over 1,500 photos on my computer at work due to a hard drive failure brought on due to power outages and the ice storms. Some are backed up, some aren't...i'm very upset

I move them to an external hard drive every couple days, then burn them to dvd about once a month or so.
