RollCanvas IV (now finished) :: Discussion Thread

I haven't seen TheWaste or even squidlips around The Arena for quite some time. So, I'll get this going...

I think we can go with these rules:

Your volley should be 650 pixels wide by 400 pixels tall.
You will only post the RIGHT-MOST 100 pixels for the next submitter.
I will be choosing the order in which participants submit. You may request a space, but I will have the final say.
Turnaround is 3 days. If you need an extension I will allow 1 day ONLY.
All final images AND your 100 pixel leaves are to be sent to me at: evp [at] evpohovich [dot] com BEFORE you post your leave. I will be approving all leaves before they go live as to prevent any mistakes.
As always, NO WHINING! This is not your mommy's lap and I don't abide whiners.

Once we get underway I will post a Submissions Only thread as is the custom with these types of events.

Remember, this is a "Big Game" event, so bring your A-game! There will be some unbelievable drops happening here, and some tough leaves as well, deal with it.....blend as best you can, and move on.

If anyone needs some assistance or advice please feel free to PM, IM, or E-mail me directly. I will be seeing all of the images anyways.

NOTE: As long as this goes smoothly, I am thinking about running this twice, in two rows. The second round will be even harder (except for the first person on round 2) as you will have to match the leave as well as the bottom of the image above yours.

oh sure, don't invite me or anything... I just, you know... came up with the whole rollcanvas thing. thats like having a telephone party and not inviting Alexander Graham Bell.

actually im really pleased to see that EVP took the initiative of starting another rollcanvas, and I wanna see everyone jump in and get involved, skilled or not!
(because 99% of the time people insist that they arn't skilled... like when people say that gerbick is an artist and he says that he isn't... i mean, gerbicks right, he's not an artist... he's the photoshop messiah!)

this is a rare oppertunity to get some practise in adapting your skills into someone else's 'environment'. rollcanvas will take you away from your comfort zone, likely punch you in the mouth, and force you to develop some of the abilities where you may have not have gotten much practise before.

most people who have commented have also said they loved the feeling of being part of a big art piece, but hated the unbelievable tension of waiting for it to come together.

now, evp... i don't suppose it's possible for this incredibly busy guy to get a spot eh? problem is that I may have to get moved around a couple of times (hopefully not), so if you can't be bothered shuffling me around then i'll stay in the sidelines and cheer my little heart out.

good luck everyone, I cant wait to see this thing get rolling.

We need to get the file format down ahead of time this year so my image isnt the first to look like crap in the canvas lol.
