and the worst mother of the year award goes to!!!!

    Sakinah Booker!!!
    *cheers*
    http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/htm...runaway17.html
A 9-year-old boy who didn't like his suburban Tacoma home stole a car, got caught, then ran away again and flew to San Antonio with a plane change in Phoenix before he was arrested, authorities said.
Police pursued young Booker on Highway 512 at 80 to 90 mph until he took an exit and the engine blew, after which the car went over a curb and coasted into a tree.

He refused to come out of the car, so officers broke a window to unlock a door and immediately recognized him as a frequent runaway and car thief, Gutto said. Last month he also crashed a stolen car before being caught by police in Tacoma, and more recently he was caught in Seattle in a stolen car that had run out of gas, his mother said.

She believes he learned to drive from playing video games on a PlayStation.
He has stolen 3 cars, illegally boarded a plane, gave false information, ran from police. all at the age of 9. they should lock the mother up for not being able to watch her own 4th grader.

He can do all of that because he played "Grand Theft Auto" on PS2.

I have a mate who learned how to drive from arcade driving games - He's a better driver than I am. Still, he didnt steal cars or evade the police.
Perhaps both mother and child should be locked up.

they wont lock up the kid because hes 9 years old.

the mother requested after the second theft of a car that the child be locked up and not to bring him back to her. the politely said no heres your kid.

I think we all learned to drive from video games. GT taught me how to take high-speed corners. I used to have the exact civic at the same time GT1 came out. It was really hard not drive the real thing like a pro when running to the store after a couple hours of gameplay. Gaming on the whole has taught me to sorta let things happen instead of covering the break and playing constant defense. You can always tell the driver who's never touched a driving game. White knuckles, constant break lights and last minute stupid sh*t.

Anyway, arrest the mom for not striking the fear of god into the kid after the first instance.

I think that story tells something about airport security. Soon the terrorists will all be children.

Sorry Silver, I have to one-up you here. Maybe this is the "worst child of the year," but the mother prize goes to: Nancy Dyer

    *edit*
Sorry, didn't notice the date. MOTY 07 it is, then.

Suuuure you are - like I'm going to believe a 22 year old brags about working at the GAP...

Besides, 22 isn't old enough anyway. I know some people in twon here who wanted to protect the kids, and I told them they need to make the cut-off for mature games at least 30.

And here I thought this was another story about Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan's mother, or Paris Hilton's mother.

Who'd be proud they raised a whore?

Anyway... this kid needs to learn simply, fear of consequence. Think about stealing even a model car... ass whooping.
