Frex, tell me how. I have gotten a few of my pics published in the local papers, but just got the "honorable mention", no money.

What about selling them on stocks? You just need to be careful as many of them pay peanuts.

I have a ftp folder linked to my server so I just go in and copy that folder every so often and make a backup and then go into my webservice online and make a backup of the sql database.

Thanks David. I do use a little USM in CS2. This particular image didn't need much though. Canon suggests using Unsharp Mask with these settings, 300, 0.3, 0.0, but I've found that to be too much if the image is already fairly sharp, so now if it needs any sharpening, I use 50, 0.3, 0.0, and I'll use a double pass sometimes, which really makes a nice sharp image without oversharpening. Different than using one pass of 100, 0.3, 0.0. It must multiply or something, not real sure, but it seems to give better results with a low yield double pass than one heavy single pass.

Thanks Robb, must have posted over yours. I wish I was getting the newsletter. Signed up twice now and all I get is a bunch of JM stuff I don't really want. Nothing about the FK Newsletter in it.

The background is the Mississippi River, frozen over except for these open spots. I was standing on a sidewalk, right in downtown here, which is about 30 feet above water level. So I was shooting slightly down or even level, and you see the ice and open water sections in the back. This is the only open water for miles, so the eagles have to come here to fish it. And I'm waiting there for them.

I had a feeling there was a little, but I agree, it would not have needed much.
My settings for USM always end up looking best at around 104, 0.7, 0.0 ...and then using 'fade' if it is a little hard...but I haven't tried two pass with lower percentages.

How far away were you? you have OIS lenses, yes?

I'm not good at judging distances, but I'd say about 75 yards or so. Definately less than say, a football field away. This image is about a 1/3 crop. And no, no image stabilization. I had the 100-400L IS and didn't like it, so I sold that and bought the 400L non-IS, and haven't regretted it. It just needs more light so I can use a higher shutter speed. Also I used the tripod for this shot.
