    Is this as dumb as I think it is?

    Do a "Search guide"..

    As far as I can tell, some dude somewhere in the world does the searching for you and gives you a couple of results back..

    Now - as far as I can tell, these are just the results from google - it takes these guys about 20 seconds to go off and get your result..

    Am I missing something here or does it suck as much as I think it does?

    And - where are they getting these people to work on this?

    I guess it could work for people unfamiliar with using search engines - there is a certain skill to it.

    (Yeah I know, enter terms, hit 'enter')

    Is it stating the obvious to say that I bet they work remotely, logging into a server and then getting requests as they're posted?
