    tracking the click in flash

    Hi Gurus,

I need to have this.... I have a requirement where I have to track the mouse clicks in flash swf of different users and store the result in a database.

So that I can find out how many users have visited which section and how many times. And I have to make it working inside the flash only.

Right now I am using FLASH MX 2004, if it can be possilble.

    Please help guys.

    Thank you.

    are you sure

    would i lie to you

Flash, on its own, cannot save to external files

it can only save to a shared object
shared objects are stored on the users hard drive

you can track how many times your buttons and which buttons in your flash movies etc have been clicked by using google analytics.. (they do all the work for you)...

check out www.google.co.uk/analytics and register there

    also have a look at

cheers .. yeah it comes in real handy, it goes so far as to tell you how many screen colors the viewer's monitor has... definitely worth checking out..and the great thing is it's free
