Save Flash 8 as Flash MX??

I'm using Flash 8 and am saving my .fla files as Flash MX 2004, but my client, with Flash MX, can't open those and gets the "Unexpected File Format" error...

Is there any way to save a file from 8 back down to MX??

    Thanks!!

Find someone who still has MX2004 and have them save it for you. In general the Flash IDEs only save back to the previous version.

Well the other thing to consider here is that Flash MX was still actionscript 1.0, so if this thing is written in 2.0 I am not sure if everything will work as expected. Never saved back that far.

Good point, however, the Publish settings are set to Flash 6, AS1, so it should be alright...

    Thanks!!
