    [BETA] Game Builder

    Hi all,
I'm getting ready to release the first version of my Game Builder.

It's a little swf that allows you to create custom games for your site. You can see a game that I made with it here: www.myspace.com/thepencilfarm.

I've been fixing millions of bugs today, and I need some fresh sets of eyes to help me find any remaining problems.

I'd also be interested in anyone's general impressions or thoughts.
    Thanks.

Good work. It really wasn't that fascinating to me as a fellow game developer, but I think for those people who don't have any game making experience, they will love it. Although, we might have a wave of swimming turtle, catching gems, avoiding mine games in the next little while... I didn't notice any bugs and it was really self-explanatory.

Nicely done! As already stated, you probably won't get much from developers but it really has a nice look and the tempo, flow and control in the game is very good!

    Yeah...

nice little game indeed, but doesn't really seem like a "building game" to me.

It's just about customizing really and it's a nice feature that could be kept in the game on start up to have a "different" game everyday.

Just not convinced by the way you "see" it or try to sell it.
Hope nobody knows I am still on Flash 5

Works well, although I didnt like that all gametypes just had one way to control the hero.. maybe you should add option to use arrow-keys too? And you could add an options for easy-hard, and adjust the "gravity" and the speed when spacebar is held down.

    Otherwise, nice work

    Thanks guys.
You are absolutely right, it's not really meant to be a hard-core game building tool. It's just a customizable game. "Game Customizer" sounds kind of stupid though .

People are always asking me if they can put my games on their MySpace, so I thought I'd do them one better and let them put their own custom game on there.

I agree with T1ger that it needs more gameplay options. It's something I plan to add later (along with more art). I think it's ok as it is for the first version.

I thought that that was a great idea!
I don't know if this is possible (It probably isn't) but it would be better if you let people upload their own images.
It wasn't like making a game in flash, but for someone who can't program this would be great.
