I hate Zelda
So, I just finished God of War II on the PSII for the second time, and I absolutely love that game. Fast paced, violent, lots of fights, and pretty straightforward. There were only a couple of sections that I was kinda lost on what to do, but found out pretty quickly.
I turn on my wii for the first time in months, to continue Zelda: Twilight Princess, which I left months ago because I couldn't find out what to do at a frozen lake. As I still didn't know, I go to check the walkthrough guide at ign. I realize two things:
1. I had to warp to a completely different and random zone of the map, which had no relation with the freaking zone I was at the moment. How could one ever find out that? The only way to ever find that out is if I got frustrated and just started walking around the entire zelda world. It's ridiculous.
2. I thought I'd been playing for weeks already (before I left it because of frustration), and I was thinking I was about 60% done. But checking the walkthrough guide, it looks like I'm about 25% done.
This game is just retarded. Walk walk walk, dig, walk, talk to somebody, walk, swing the controller to kill something, warp, walk walk warp. I freaking hate this game. This has been my second Zelda experience. The first and only other Zelda game I've played was the Minish Cap for gameboy, and I loved it, but this wii game is just boring, except for the cool controls (which got boring after the first 5 minutes), and somehow nice graphics, but for the rest, it sucks.

Go back and play ocarina of time for N64. It wasn't named the best game ever made for no reason.

Don't own a n64 though :P
But I'm seriously considering in connecting my atari 2600 and play pacman, with my awesome wireless remote controls. I have to fix or find a new adapter for the thing, but it probably still works

yeh, twilight princess just ended up being more like work than entertainment. Peicing togethers bits of a random and absurd puzzle to get the one thing you need to get to the next zone. Meh.

The game's depth was really in the dungeons which was also my main gripe. Every freekin room doesnt have to be a puzzle. I think I got stuck around the same area argo. It does pick up gradually though, become much faster to get around and a lot of the items get put to good use. I will say that by the time I beat I was really ready for it to be over.

Sounds like Oblivion, well, minus the dig and swing part.

i was completely addicted to twilight princess when i started. I put 14 hours in the first week. But now it's such a chore to play, everything takes so long and there seems to be no end. It's not a game i can just pick up, play for 20 minutes and be done with it for the night. it takes at least 2 hours to do anything of importance and that's just time i don't have.

Yes, and I hated all the ten hours I wasted and lost on it. Worst PS3 game I've got till now. You can have it for free, just come over and take it.

are you serious? I thought Oblivion was pretty cool.
I absolutely hated Twilight princess, only spent like 5 hours on it before I got bored and sick of the annoying cut scenes.

Work sucks
This should help.
I should get around to finishing this game. I have a bad habit of starting games but not finishing them.

No, I'm not and I'm not the only one, I tried to sell the game to a friend, but he hated the game as well, so I had to be a good friend and take it back.

I dont understand why you even bought it. You know what kind of game it is going in, it's the best action RPG made to date...so if you dont like that kind of game...dont waste your money.

I like that kind of games, really ... but not this one. While it's true that I'm more into japanese RPG, I played tons of western action RPG's in the past and loved many of them, but this one? Not one bit.

you're just a fk'ing elitest. I know ahead of time that I'd never get into oblivion but I understand that to others, its near perfect. What I wouldnt give for all that free time I had in jr. high.
I know what you mean about zelda lefteye. I had to make an effort to blow off everything just so I could make significant progress in one evening. I kept telling myself, "oh god, not another wind waker." ALL you fricken did in that game was sail. I still loved the game but damn what a lot of filler.
For twilight princess, I finally got sick of looking for the damn water kings son and started using the ign walkthrough at the slightest hint of a walking puzzle. I figured, if I don't cheat, I'm not going to finish anyway, might as well get the last bit of fun out of it. The last two dungeons are pretty damn fun though.
