Tea Time
Just wondering, what's your favorite tea? I'm currently into White Tea mixed with passion fruit juice, no sugar, served ice cold.
What's yours?

No I can't do it by tommorow..
Home:
Breakfast Tea - Hot with milk no sugar.
Out:
Tetley Ice T peach and orange served as cold as I can get it.
or Liptons Peach Ice Tea again served as cold as I can get it.
other than that any Hot tea from a good traditional Cafe where its been sit stewing for half a day before served

Gunpowder Green Tea, loose leafed steeped properly flavored with local honey - small amounts if I decide to sweeten it.
White teas and Rooibos (red tea) are my next favorites, but I tend to sweeten with stevia and I stay away from fruit flavor infused variations because I'm not sure if I want that taste for 30-40 bags.

I like that Rooibos, too, is it the same as African Bush tea? Also Darjeeling and Earl Grey. Years ago I used to drink Maté, South American I think, but I haven't seen it for years.
Tonight I am drinking Rioja.

I've been getting an iced chi tea at starbucks during the week. Much easier on my stomach.

So who does actually mix and brew their own tea? And if yes, how? (<- only if you don't use tea-bags of course)

Typically for the most loose leaf teas - ceylon, chai, and oolong - per a large mug, I use one of these... but for my white tea and gunpowder green, I use a Mono Filio Teapot...
Just what I do that's strange is double boil my water - bring water to a rolling boil the night prior in an open, copper pot, then move that to the kettle. The reason mostly is because there's just so much darn chlorine in the water in this area and I hate that taste. And I'm too darn cheap to buy distilled water just to enjoy tea.
Other than that, just boil water, steep for 2-4 minutes, remove the tea leaves - I tend to place them while still in the infuser ball/mono filio strainer on a plate, then re-use/re-steep longer those for an "energy drink" based off of green tea and fresh citrus and chilled.

Why does tea have to be so complicated?
Just throw a bag of PG Tips into mug with boiling water, add milk and sugar to taste.
An unpretentious, low-brow brew that hits the spot every time.

So I guess you never tried to create the one perfect mix. Really interesting, especially at the time you reach your caffein limit.

51 is readily available here, but as Subbers says, too much of that and you know about it the next day.
Ouch.

My usual hit list is Special Gunpowder w/ honey, Earl Grey w/ milk, and Lipton Peach Cold Brew straight up.
