    AIR Ready yet?

Hi, I have received an inquiry for a (very small) CD-rom project.

The client is used to having very basic HTML-based projects and the first thing I want to do is show them the capabilities of Flash.

At this point (I have not being following in the past months), I am trying to figure at what stage is Adobe AIR and how I can use it to deploy a CD-rom.

    So how is it?

Well having seen quite a bunch of successful applications built on AIR I was wondering if it could be already used (with all due attention).

So at this point I will probably have to use one of those third party packages, like Zinc........

Zinc is actually a better solution for CD distributables - it does not require that a runtime be installed and can be run reliably right from the CD.

well my smile is still tickling.... I've installed version 9.0.60 beta of the player and seen the sample movie with H.264 video featuring.....
And the hardware accelerated fullscreen mode......

WOW, I didn't think I could actually feel such a deep pleasure yet for an update in the Flash Player.

Its like coming for one hour.... I'm THAT happy!
