    Screencast software ... what do you use, recommend? (OS X)

    I use snapzprox, have done now since about March this year, allows me to make quick video tutes for my students in lesson and dump them onto the student drives quickly.
    simple to use, plenty of encoding options including recording with or without audio, also good for screen, object (great feature) or selective still image captures.

    you might have to play with the encoding and frame rates to find a good medium between quality and file size but once set its all plain sailing there after
    and in a blink of an eye...

    Do I have to import the movies into iMovie or something to add overlay texts or can I do that with this software?
