FLV not importing into my FLA file!

Ok so I want to import a FLV file into my FLA file.

File > Import Video/Import to stage > I browse to the file > Progressive download > pick the skin ...

but then the "loading FLV dimension" progress window comes up for 2 seconds and then nothing happens. The FLV file does not come into my FLA file. Nothing comes into my library, stage or timeline.

Any idea what is going on? I have tried various FLV files with same result.

If I choose "embed the video" option then it does come in but that is not what I am after.

I am using Flash CS3 and WinXP64. Any idea on what is going on? Thanks

Guys any idea? Any suggestion why I can't import any FLV files?
Edit- Yes I am using Flash CS3 Pro

Ok problem solved. The test FLA file that I was using was from one of the template banners that Flash provides when you open a new file.

I used a normal "Flash action script 2/3" file and then the importing of the FLV worked fine.
