KM OsCommerce project
As I promised here is the first view of the KM and OsCommerce combination that I am developing. here
I have cropped down and modified the standard code and included KM swfs.
The basic format is, the header is now a swf and therefore can be very easily modified to accomodate any design requirements. It can be a simple plain header as in the example, or use any flash feature you wish to incorperate.
The flash on the opening page is again fully configurable to anything you desire.
The product selector is a straightforward php to MySQL connection, and can also list categories of product rather than the products themselves.
So that you can fully test out the example I have only configured the cart for cash on delivery, so you can continue the buying process right through. DONT WORRY I WONT BE DELIVERING YOU A PC!, however a working site can include any of the pre-built payment gateways OsCommerce offers, including PayPal.
I would appreciate your comments and any suggestions for further developement.
Cheers

I'm coming in late on this Stoke so forgive my stupidity. This for public consumption or just a view? I ask because I just dumped some Flex cart code and planned on dumping some for KM but if this OSCommerce of yours is planned for the Exchange I'll skip to the next project on my dump list

I'm impressed Stoke! It's extremely well designed, very attractive and easy to navigate. Looks like a perfect blend of KM and osCommerce, imho, and it looks very promising. You're stacking up some good karma here.

Nobody thinks of changing himself.

You're not late Chris, I know you've had a peek before, but this is the first time I've gone public with this.
Please continue to contribute your stuff to exchange, all solutions are valid. The only reason I didn't work on a flash cart was that I needed a data holder component which I hadn't available to me in KM.

Hello,
I played with this and never got my confirmation but that might be in the process of design. I was wondering why you need gender? Other than that I saw a good demo.
Any programming language is at its best before it is implemented and used.

yep the confirmation e-mail simply needs to be configured, hopefully you should recieve 2 e-mails now to let you know your order has been dispatched and delivered. As for the questions asked for registration, they are easily removed if not required, what you have seen here is the complete list.
Thanks for comments and for trying it out.

I know on american TV, they cover e-commerance on the news and they tell everyone to look for the locks on the browsers to indicate enctription and check to see if there is https being used. I honestly never looked for this myself when checking your site.

Encription is used to encode the details of credit card payments, when the customer completes a transaction of this type by electing to use one of the prebuilt payment options available e.g. Paypal or Nocheck they are taken to a secure server for this purpose.
The lock symbol and a green navigation bar in ie is a function of the host server and a valid licence, so if the package is uploaded to such a server it would display as such. This would only be necessairy if the client wished to collect their own customer finance details for processing.

Thank you all for your possitive comments, you may wish to see a version here which acts as a portal. Here the selection is for groups or categories of items.
You will see here km built contact forms in action, connections direct to paypal and some error checking on forms to ensure they are fully completed.
Please note this is a fully functioning site, so feel free to use any of the features.

Thanks Brett, I'll look into it, sorry to be a pain, but if you get the chance could you check the others for me? It's odd that only the footer swf is displaced, possibly because the overall php creating the page is read in different way in Firefox.
