Using Screens in Flash 8 Professional

I have the need to synchronize media elements (movieClips) using the flv playback component. From what I understand I must use the behaviors panel with screens. For some reason the window menu does not allow me to open screens (it is grayed out).

Any ideas why I do not have access to this option? The screens panel from what I have read is available with Flash 8 Professional.

Thanks Cancerinform... my prob was working with a standard fla and not a presentation.
