help with menu

Can someone please point me in the right direction. I would like to create a menu like the one in the following website: http://www.koolmoves.com/rwbanner/Demo_KM6.html It was created in KoolMoves version 6. How is that done? I've been searching for examples but haven't been successful.

I tried to duplicate the scroll effect but it didn't work. I don't understand the xpos and ypos function on the movieclip.
