I love using it because, it is easy to use. Its perfect for a graphic designer like me because its cool and easy to build. I am currently looking to update my photo porfolio and wanted to use that actionscript but been having issues making it work in CS3. It only seems to work when I publish it as ver 5 or 6, and the downside to that is I lose all the cool features of CS3.
Can someone please help me understand the issue and help me solve it if possible ..... Or even better, if a similar script that will work in CS3.
Any advise on any CS3 books with good scripts for users who are good with flash but not great with scripts.
By default CS3 is going to publish as Actionscript 3, which is very different from previous versions. Try setting your Publish Settings to Actionscript 1 or 2, and see if it works.
Try setting the publish settings to Flash Player 9, using Actionscript 1.0. If that doesn't work, can you explain a bit more about what you're trying to do?
I did the above TACO but not luck getting it to work ... WHat I am doing is, I am using this script taken from http://www.actionscript.org/showMovie.php?id=361 ... and using it to build a sliding menu ... but for some reson the sript will not work if saved as ver 9 even though the script is 1 & 2 ... only works in ver 5 or 6 ... am I missing something ??? .... test the file out and see if it works for you ... I am having a hard time making it work in ver 9 .... Thanks for the help ... merry christmas to you all
Thanks Arsenik ... a merry christmas to you too ... I'll have a look ... Is there a reason why I had the problems run it the old script in versions higher then 6 ... thank you very much for your help ..
aha, in older verions you were able to add Ascripts to movieclips, buttons and ... but in the new version "cs3" this is not possible , eventhandlers could and should not be added to the displayobject .
A script I used in Flash 6 does not work in CS3? WHY ???
