    My very own Flash blog

What do you guys think? I've been told it's kinda boring (I limited myself to only 6 main colours). Also, what do you think of the logo? I've tried to keep it very simple and recognisable (I haven't seen it used before).

I assume the URL is the same as the one in your footer?

I think I already saw this one over at Kirupa. Well, not much of a logo, the overall design is poor ( really poor ), it would have been a big hit back in 1993 but not in 2008. Seen much, much better blog designs, this one might be functional, but it's design is bad. Try surfing other blogs before jumping into doing a design, get some inspiration and continue when you have a clear vision about what you want to do and how you want it to look like in the end.

    Good luck.

Well, the logo didn't really screamed "Fatal Exception"~

Main Critic: Why put links to other sites/blog in the top left column? You're not driving away visitors are you by inducing them to click those?

Question: Which CMS platform did you use for your blog?

I must admit - I spent 5 minutes on the logo. It was supposed to have been designed by a friend but he never did. At the moment the logo acts as a placeholder really til I get a proper one. Also, I actually dont want a flash, super good looking website, just one that is basic and functional.

    @Googooboyy
Why have links to other blogs on my blog? Is that a serious question?
I use Wordpress for the blog - tis quite a nice platform.

IMHO, if that's what you wanted, then you reached your goal. You have a basic and functional web site. Ohh, and a Happy New Year !

For my first ever website (I'm a programmer not a web designer) I'm quite proud It's different from many other blogs without being too rubbish.

Alright, for starting out in wordpress and not using blogspot (blogger), 1 point for ya.

N yes, no prob with having links to other blogs on your blog. Though I can't quite grasp why you named it "Fatal Roll".

Oh, do give the logo another 10 minutes will ya?

I think he meant it like, if Adobe had a blog, they might call it "Adobe Roll".
Just kinda a little name addition to make it part of the "Fatal Blog". Sorry if I'm unclear.

    The site:
Its a good start for a Wordpress blog. You might want to experiment more with the images. Right now, they seem pretty bland. And really, just see one color, purple. You might want to add one other color. I know you said six, but really, all I see is lots of different shades of purple. I think if you made the background plain white, it would look much cleaner.

Over all, I think you have a fairly solid blog design there man!

Yeah I'll definitely update the logo when I find a designer. I must admit, by six colours I was including the color of the text and the text's background lol. I'll try and introduce a proper image soon - something Mac-like to make it pretty.

Anyways, thanks for your feedback - I hope to introduce some more useful info & Flash classes on it soon.
