    Adobe Photoshop problem

    I try to open the Adobe Photoshop application - but its hanging...
    Anybody faced a similar situation ? Anyway to get around this ? Thanks in advance !

    Have you installed any new fonts/filters since the last time you worked? That's most often the reason for PS problems. If you haven't a uninstall/ reinstall is probably best.

    Besides what Napalm just said (he's 100% correct), I suggest that you find and destroy your prefs file while the app is closed, then re-open.

    I got it Gerbick !!!
    I deleted all the PS files in my Documents and it works fine now !
    I wonder why this thing happened ?

    Honestly, the prefs get trashed infrequently, but it still happens. I think I can go back to version 4.01 when I had to start doing it every now and then.

    It's usually tied to something stupid... like you added/changed your brushes, installed a filter or two, or had a weird hiccup in the read/write process on the hard drive. Or... it just randomly happen because Photoshop just decided to take it out on you that day.

    I wish I knew the secret formula how to avoid it. It still happens to me - especially after I work on monster files/images and my hate for filters is well known.

    Regardless, glad it worked for you. Just something to remember in the future.
