    Color Quality

I'm using import to stage from a PSD - PNG - and JPG

Every item i import into flash looks washed out.

Color Settings have been both sRGB and Adobe RGB from Photoshop, and i'm importing to library for flash, JPG Quality 100%.

    Any ideas?

Try print screen of original image and save it as normal JPEG. Then import into flash and see if it helps.

    Nope that didn't work either.

I've tried assigning it to sRGB, Adobe RGB, etc. and it always comes in washed out...

    paragonc,

I'm going to assume you are using CS3 based on the fact that you are importing PSD's straight into Flash. Have you checked to see what your color proofing is at? I've only worked with Photoshop 7, but in there you can go to:
View -> Proof Setup -> and then choose a color profile for proofing. If my memory serves me correct, if you choose Monitor RGB then how it looks on screen should be how it is displayed outside of Photoshop. This could be what is giving you the problem. I've ran into similar issues like this in the past. Another problem is that I've calibrated my monitor (as best as I can) and most of the general public doesn't. So things that look good to me on my monitor might be over or under exposed on someone else's. Hope that helped.
