    WTF is up with Paypal?!

    Ok... so I have a confirmed address and a verified link to my bank account so what is all this echeque bull**** that makes me waits over a week before sending my money out?! What happened to the days when it was pretty much instant? Any way around this?

    I can't ever think that withdrawing money from them was ever "instant", not unless you were issued one of their Paypal MasterCard "debit" cards. Otherwise, their method of transfer takes 3-4 days, I can usually get my transfers in 2-3 by doing it in the morning.

    I got a transfer thru in one day after my bank got aquired by a bigger bank.

    It was a shocker because I was used to anything between 3 and 5 days.

    Naw sorry I meant that I was sending money to someone for an ebay item and it says they won't get the cash for "7-9 days", that's never happened to me before. I've never come across the term e-cheque before either

    They're really messed up nowadays. The other day I had to verify my account name and password, and the form wasn't on paypal.com. The email didn't even come from paypal.com. They really need to re-centralize.

    On a similar note I just sold two tickets I bought for Leonard Cohen by mistake for $680...

    I feel so dirty, especially since I'm gonna be sitting next to them at the gig. Maybe I'll buy them a drink...

    Hah. I've never heard of the call happening. But, I noticed them ratcheting up their processes. When it first started it was a quick approval.
