    Cyclocross Bike

    I'm thinking about getting a cyclocross bike to use as a local commuter and as a road bike, maybe hit some trails as well.

    I know there's bikers here, what are your thoughts on using a cyclocross bike with slicks as a road bike? I've read up a bit and it seems pretty common.

    Jamis Nova Pro is looking good right now. Other recommendations?

    Talk to local bike messengers. Out here in SF they all use cyclocross or velodrome-style bikes.
