KoolMoves on Linux?
Does anyone use KoolMoves on a Linux system? I've installed it under Ubuntu 8.04 with a use of Wine (Windows emulator) and it looks ok. But it's quite unstable and the software crushes every few actions without giving an error message. It happens randomly, mainly during applying changes in dialog boxes or after pressing a play button. All functions seem to work fine, but in an unstable way (sometimes they work sometimes they don't).
Any ideas how to make it more stable?
Any plans to create linux version of KM? (Would be great!)
Cheers, Karol.

I wanted to try for myself but I've got Linux (Mint) running inside VirtualBox.
Wine inside Linux inside VirtualBox seems to be very slow.
I did notice the Wine configuration screen. Does the stability improve when you specify that KM should run in Windows 98 mode ?

Thx for your answer.
Usually I use KM on Win XP and it works perfectly. Why should it work better in Win 98 emulation mode than in XP mode?
I've just checked 98, XP and Vista modes in Wine and there's no difference...

I know my dad has switched to Linux (kubuntu) and he uses VMware. It's a virtual machine and i don't think he has had any trouble running Koolmoves on that.
we keep making fool proof systems, but the world keeps making better fools.

Thank you, I'll try it out next week and let you all know how it works for me. Hope VMware works under GNOME too (I don't have KDE desktop installed).
