Advice for start-ups.
Hi all.
I've been seriously thinking to indulge myself into a fnb retail business with these qualities of mine: 99% excitement, 1% naivety and 0% experience.
Actually, I'm looking for advice on how I should approach my potential suppliers, considering that I'm a start-up with little volume/qty - in other words, I'm a relative unknown in their business world.
Does it make a differenceif I approach their sales office, demanding good rates compared to a sales call/email? Would it appear better if I suggest that I'll sell their competitor products instead if I'm not getting a good bargain?
How would you go about doing it?

Details schmetails.
The only thing you need to know/live/breathe is one seemingly simple idea. However, the deeper you look at it, you realize it's not as simple as you think.
The only way your business will fail, is if you let it.
You might fail 999,999 times, but if you get up and try again every time, you will eventually succeed, no matter what your business is, no matter how ridiculous it is - if you learn from your mistakes and trust your gut.
As with any business you are new to - it's trial and error, and take what you can get at the beginning until you estabilish yourself and are able to do more.
Good luck -
