best tool to create seamless sound loops?

Im wondering if anyone has any software that can create seamless sound loops... Im hoping to create an engine revving loop for a car game....

Basically something like

but with the high end loop having a bit more variety / being seamless

I heard that fruity loops is one of the best music loop tools though I never used it myself

Basicly just any multitrack editor. Just put two instances of the sound you want to loop on the same track and just let them overlap a bit. This way you can hear if it is too early (let them overlap a bit less) or too late (let them overlap a bit more). Move it around for a few minutes until the ear is fooled into thinking that it is a loop and you should have the point where you'd need to cut.

This trick works for movies too, but then you can place the second instance on a layer on top of the first one.
