    Great find mate.

I was working with some casual developers guys at gimme5 and I'd say the quote is right. It's about double on both amounts.

The presentation and love that goes into a ( Good ) casual game is just unreal. I've been lucky enough to work on some very shiny Flash games, and even the most glossy Flash game is well behind the standard of the current good casual games.
Ok I know the budget and timescales don't compare ( And it's a totally different business model ), but then neither do the expectations of the end user. I think that gap is going to close at a quicker rate than it is at present to the point that the game of the week on NG will be on par with a Peggle in terms of presentation.
( I was approached recently to convert a casual game to Flash. I estimated that the game itself would be about a week, and a further 2/3 weeks to match the presentation of the original game. That's with all the assets prepared and ready to drop straight in ).

In a round about way I'm trying to say if you haven't checked out casual games for a while, if ever, do so. There's a lot of inspiration there, and it's a lot more achievable than comparing your Flash game to Fallout3.

    Squize.
