Controlling browser values linking away from Flash

Is there a way to have a link from a flash movie open a browser window with predetermined coordinates, size, etc.? It seems folks get it done with java, but I'm wondering if there is another way to accomplish the same thing with out java.

    Thanks for your time!

I am a caveman and this angers and confuses me. Well, mostly confuses. I think because I don't understand the script I don't know how to tweak it to do what I want it to. I appreciate the link though.

BTW, I tried just plugging in the script with my values in place and couldn't get the link to work.

I will press on for a bit more to see if I can find my way....

    Thanks again. Anything else Anyone?

OK, I got a little closer. I forgot to put the clip variable action script in the first layer. Once I did that everything acted like it was going to work, but just before the page displays in the pop up, I get this error message:

    Internet explorer cannot download .
    unspecified error

So... I'll keep diggin'. Or change the client's mind.

Yeah, instead oh out of preview mode. I did this and it seemed to work for FireFox, but still got an error message in ie7. I will attempt again on Monday, unless I get let go in this state of the company meeting we are about to have.
    YAY!

    THanks!

OK, no longer an issue as the client is fine with the current operation. YAY!
