I too had problems several months back.

I used the Table maintenace options available. I ran Check table then Analyze table and finally Optimize table as there were no errors from the first two checks.

After that was completed all worked as it should. My tables contain a fair amount of entries and now I run the above on a more regular basis.

Hope it is just something minor.
