    Problem publishing jpeg from flash

    Hi again Guys,
I am working on a project that will result in my creating jpeg images.
I am drawing up the pages for the project in flash and have been using the FILTERS option for some of the effects.... Blurring, drop shadow etc.

When I publish as a swf. file the images are great....... sharp and crisp, but when I export image as a jpeg. every thing that has a FILTER option is bitmappy and pixelated.

I dont have to provide jpegs specifically, but I do need to export and provide as some type of picture format.

Was hoping that you guys might be able to help. Everything that I have just drawn is fine...... it's just the element that I have attached a filter too that Im having trouble with.

As always, any help or suggestions will be much appreciated and I offer my thanks in advance.

    Thank you, Stuartist.

Are the images pixelated if you don't apply a filter to it on export? What quality are you publish the Flash file and at what level are you publishing the images on export?

Hi Samac, thanks for the reply. No is the answer, it is only the images that I have attached the filter to that appear pixelated. They also look pixelated in the actual flash file. As so as I attach the filter they lose quality. On publishing as a swf. however they look fine. I am publishing at the highest quality I can... 100% (best).

But still having the same problem.

    Cheers, Stuart

hmmmm...strange. I can't say I've used filters against image before. I'll try to perform a test. Maybe I can replicate it and identify it as a problem with Flash.

Saving the images as a PNG. file type before hand goes well for me

That is good to know. Is it still pixelated?
