    Teabagging.

So...is um...anyone *snicker* going to a teabagging party *giggle snicker* tomorrow, to protest, you know...paying last year's taxes, and protesting our socialist increase of 3% on incomes over $250k?

...which is still about 10% less than it was under Pres. Reagan, yet I don't recall any repubs protesting him... or even mentioning it today?

'Cause Fox News wasn't around to whip them into a frenzy based on empty rhetoric.

Now, mind you, Libertarians have been this contrary and anti-tax forever, so they get a pass.

    It isn't quite accurate.

It should be called the anti-inflation tea-party. I suppose the problem is that inflation doesn't have it's own day. It's much more deceptive.

The republican party is trying to stir something up.
Tax hikes only affect the top 10 percent of income earners and the percentage is still less then under the Clinton administration.

I really have to say after watching the fox footage.
I hope the guys who thru stuff into the marina are charged with litering and poluting. Somehow fox didn't do a crowd shot for that one. I'm assuming the three guys alerted the media to the event and no one else.

I think, at it's core, that yes, that's what this is all about. Fiscal conservatives don't like the deficit spending we're undertaking to try to right the ship here. They would prefer tax cuts, cuts in government spending and believe in trickle-down economics. Whether that's effective or not is another debate, but it's a legitimate stance.

The problem is that instead of promoting an alternative plan they want pushed through congress, this whole charade is nothing other than Republican venting and angry mobs.

    Photos.

You've got people calling Obama a fascist, protesting higher taxes (that don't exist), cries that we're becoming socialists, and all the typical anti-government conservative whargarbl.

I was watching the streams on Fox yesterday, and they had a British woman, speaking to a crowd of Americans at a Tea Party....blew my frickin' mind. Furthermore, she was going on about how they stopped unfair poll taxes by protesting when Thatcher introduced them. Which would be fine, if we were talking about protesting unfair taxation...but last I checked there were no new taxes at the Federal level, and all Obama was doing was reversing the Bush tax cuts, which puts us back to Clinton-era tax rates.

Conservatives love a parade. Bums don't pay taxes they don't work for a living. They should be out looking for a job instead of looking for trouble. Maybe if they were working like real americans do we'd have the money in the reserves and wouldn't need to tax the rich as much.

Wow,... if that isn't the epitome of the typical FOX viewer/neo-republican cult follower then I don't know what is. God help us all because they're just smart enough to figure out how to breed.

The "fascist" guy must have been studying Bush's "sovereign" tapes.

"We need one term for all politicians..." (paraphrase)

Then Bush would have been there only for 4 years? **** it, I'd get behind that.

Meh, it only took him 8 months to throw America under the bus in favor of the neo-con sociopath agenda... maybe one term is too long?

Texas, Vermont, South Carolina and some other state all are talking about secession.

I say let 'em. They have the right.

I wonder how serious they will be when they find out the truth about expartiates and taxes.
If you decide to become an expatriate you are still legally bound to pay taxes for ten years.

I just seriously find it stupid. None of them protesting are actually facing a tax increase.
Roghly 20~25% of americans still smoke. Nobody protested the tax increase on cigarrettes. I think it's just a play from the base they still haven't gotten over the elections.

I personally would love to see Obama and his entire administration "quit", give the republicans 180 days, some 60 days more than he's already had - and see what they do.

Not to prove anything, just to right things.
