    Flash PHP forums

Hey, I was wondering If I could make a flash forum entirely with Flash and PHP, and get the PHP to save to the xml file and then load the xml through flash later.

also I need to know how to make an automatic thing where when u make a new thread, it makes an XML and saves it all in there.

I doubt I can do this, but I have seen a flash forum done before. not sure what they used, and i can't seem to find them.

unless it was a flash blog....

I'll make another post about the flash blog thing.

Please, if that's how you think you're going to make a forum, don't. Not to be rude or insulting, but your thought process is far too off to ever make it happen. Stick with simpler things first.

I'd recommend taking a look at bbPress or phpBB for how a forum works. bbPress is much simpler in terms of code, and phpBB is one hell of a beast. Both are great open source projects, so feel free to poke into the code and see what's going on. Be warned, neither are for beginners. You'll soon see that even a simple forum is a major undertaking.
