Legal consideration
I've been using Koolmoves for some years and i'm a registered user.
I know it's allowed to sell .swf files generated with the software, but i have found a way to create user interface Koolmoves componentents instances from JavaScript and use them almost completelly from this language avoiding AS3.
I'm the developer of PFlash and i'm currently working in version 3, a major update to the software, and would love to include a .swf runtime library with Koolmoves components so they can be used from JavaScript loading the library into PFlash main .swf when needed.
It's just I'm not sure if this is fair play.

Interesting use.. You should contact Koolmoves directly with your question though, Although I'm sure we'd all like to hear the answer.
As far as I can tell you shouldn't have a problem as you are not reselling the compiler in anyway and are just reusing a swf you created with it. Iteresting idea to create a single swf that generates components on the fly using your Javascript to pass it the creation information. I did something like this once a long time ago using a different flash creation tool, we has an online button creator.

My guess is you cannot display koolmoves components in any fashion as part of a tool made in any platform that exports anything based on those components without permission from Lucky Monkey. I am however dying to see the official response to this question for my own reasons.

To redistribute/resell library elements would be a violation of the proper use of the software.

You can say it louder but not clearer .
In any case i think it could be confusing:
Lets say i publish a .swf file with some components instances -->Legal
Then I add some AS3 lines to make those components methods, properties and events accesible from JavaScript --> Illegal
And of course you can think in any intermediate state.

I suppose it would only be confusing only until it's litigated. Then it would get cleared up quick.
scenario ....If I allow users to generate or create a SWF based on a Koolmoves datechooser or manipulate a third party precompiled library of components to do do (using something like pFlash) without requiring end users to purchase Koolmoves themselves, I would in effect be subverting their commercial enterprise and I would imagine be opening myself to litigation.
Let's take your opening line:
Flash platform and ActionScript are expensive and quite complex. PFlash is an easy way to include Flash animations in your projects.
rewrite it as supporting Koolmoves now...
Koolmoves platform and ActionScript are expensive and quite complex. PFlash is an easy way to include Koolmoves animations in your projects.
reading between the lines to honestly get to the real point...
Koolmoves platform and ActionScript are expensive and quite complex. PFlash is an easy and free way to include Koolmoves animations in your projects.
What is confusing here is beyond me...if you allow users to create any Koolmoves component which is in effect created itself by manipulating your precompiled library in any fashion after the fact you are undermining their business model. Because your platform is donationware doesnt negate this fact.

Very clear Chris.
I looked at your website Luishp. It looks like a nice tool and the fact that it is donationware is very kind of you
Since you are talking about legal things, you mention on your license page "Permission is granted to anyone to use this software for any purpose." . This isn't entirely true. A user is still bound to the licenses of the libraries you include. The GreenSock license for example states that if one of your PFlash users would create a commercial website with your product that requires visitors to pay for to have access to it and doesn't pay GreenSock for a Corporate Membership, it would be a violation of the GreenSock license.

Thank you for your comments and thoughts. I do really appreciate them.
I will review PFlash license and general information on next release.
Of course i will not use any koolmoves component.
