    Remote server

Hello everybody, I have been having heaps of trouble installing a remote server.

But I've realized that some servers work just by php files!

And I was thinking maybe i would be able to make a remote server with php.

Basically i need to know a file i can send and save and load heaps of variables to and fast...

But i don't have too much of an idea, can somebody help me?

NOTE: If you post here just to say it isn't possible or that its too hard, don't. I'm trying to get this working and other people could be trying to help!

There's no point in doing that, the job has been done. And it's way more complex than you think. I wouldn't even be able to point you in the right direction. Just... don't.

I'm not a fan of AMFPHP because I use Red5 when something of the sort is needed, so I don't particularly know, but I'd assume the latest.

Well, that's where some research comes into play. I don't know about the AMFPHP project enough to say "Yeah, go for using the beta" or if their betas are real unstable. Let Google be your friend.

    Hi,

    there is a difference:
amfphp runs on a regular webserver (e.g. Apache) but uses a more efficient data transmission for the same kind of requests / replies - so it substitutes loadvars stuff
Red5 or FMS are specialized servers for realtime connections

actually AMFPHP works a bit differently to what i am after. i am pretty much after red5 except the only thing stopping me is my knowledge.

I am looking into AMFPHP and UNION PLATFORM too though.

If anybody could help me set up AMFPHP,RED5 or UNION from a live chat or something, that would be (awesomely) great!
