80% of the time playing against a dark/earth AI, the comp has 4 devourers by turn 4. What are the odds of that?

And I've been tracking this too- 87% of the time a single devourer will eat whatever quantum you have the least generation of.

Yes, to some decks that is very devastating, to others, not so devastating.
To some decks, YOUR deck is very devasting, to others, not so devastating.
To the denial deck, some decks are very devastating to it, to otehrs, not so devastating.

Decks have counters. Just because it counters some decks doesn't mean it is super overpowered. It has its own counters too. Which I have a feeling are going to be growing very fast soon.

That is because the RNG (Random Number Generator) in this game has problems from what I've noticed with just about every part of it.

Alright guys Chill out. Seems like a heated debate LOL. honestly, I think you guys should just settle this dispute with a duel. Dark/Earth versus Aether, best out of 3.

Then we can see who's right, and whoever loses has to accept they're a dumbass lol

dimshield is basically wasting a card advantage to buy yourself 3 turns you don't gain anything from it really except 3 turns of safety...this may sound good but it is not in reality because first of all u waste a draw for it which is equivalent of it lasting 2 turns and 2ndly it has a high mana cost which can be used to summon another dragon...
    This made me LOL though.

AFAIK there are no known effective counters for dark/earth right now

Correction, it's a +1 card advantage at best. You play a devourer (-1 card), you get an extra quantum per turn just like a pillar (+1 card) and the opponent loses one quantum per turn as if they had 1 less pillar (+1 card).

However, there are a couple problems with calling it a +1 card advantage. For one thing, many decks don't actually need all the pillars they carry, so you may swiftly reach a point where your devourer(s) won't actually have any meaningful impact on your opponent's income; at this point you're just getting +1 darkness per turn but your opponent is not actually affected by loss of excess quantum, so basically your devourer turns into a plain old pillar. For another, any source of rainbow quanta is going to screw with your devourer strategy. A rainbow deck that relies on quantum pillars is getting 3 quanta per card, so your devourer is only +1/3 of a card advantage against rainbow decks. Nova/immolation cards splashed into decks that only use a handful of colors can screw with devourers a lot; if your deck uses 4 colors, then every nova you play gives you a buffer of 8 extra useless quanta that devourers will randomly drain away, again lowering the card advantage.

It's still a powerful card, being so fast and inexpensive (fully upgraded black decks usually get them out turn 1, which is pretty sick) and relatively difficult to directly counter if they can burrow--but supplying both darkness and earth quanta makes your deck less efficient, meaning you often need a bit of card advantage just to catch up.

We are talking about which deck are overpower here and obviously best of 3 doesn't work because of the luck involved, but i say D/E will win definitely in the long run

and I know i probably put the 3 turn safety the wrong way but ppl can easily deflag and steal the shield and use it against u

No, we all know that dark/earth counters mono-aether.

lol first of all i don't believe you

and 2ndly if you put it that way, rainbow is the counter to all colors so it is not really a direct counter to anything

at this point i primarily use QPs, and all 12 colors (finally found a good use for entropy), and it's doing a pretty good job of discouraging me!

I'll be honest. My rainbow deck wins 95% of the time.

With a 60 card deck though I get some bad starts and no pillars.

The flying weapon card is listed as costing 1 air quantum.
The animate weapon card is listed as costing "1", but on the wiki it is listed as one air quantum.

If they both cost one air quantum each, then how are they different?

Mainly I want to know if the animate weapon card just costs one quantum at random
