The Boat That Rocked was a odd little movie. I actually enjoyed it but I'm not too sure how popular it will get.
Terminator Salvation was awful. ALMOST as bad as 3.

It definitely isn't as "photorealistic" as everyone was claiming but damn does it look ****ing awesome! This will definitely make me make the 2 hour drive to the closest 3d imax theater.

Have you seen Death Proof yet? I saw the double feature in theaters. I think they deserve a rewatch as it's been so long.

Saw District 9 last weekend. I am not a big scifi buff, and this movie was brilliant in every way, scifi fan or not.

Our stupid theater isn't getting it. I might have to make a trek somewhere else to see it.

my avatar hype is officially gone. Good graphics but looks like it's an Action animation Disney would've made.

Exactly. As much as I am sure I will still enjoy it I was expecting something different. The humans look amazing and the subtle movements are great but as soon as the blue characters are shown it looks like something Pixar could easily do. Not close enough to photorealistic to keep the hype going. Oh well I am just hoping Cameron didn't lose sight of the whole project with all the technology and still delivers an amazing story to go along with the eye candy.
Also sad that all the fanboys hyped it up themselves to this non achievable status that they will just flood the internet with hate over it now when in the end I'm sure it'll still be an enjoyable experience. Hopefully he makes his money back

I started watching it but still need to finish it. I fell asleep. The french are definitely in the front of the horror genre.

the humans are real... they are blending realistic 3d environments and characters with some live actors. this is going to be an epic sci-fi story, saying your hype is dead after a 30 second trailer thats making alot of people have goosebumps is pretty funny. my hype is still up high. Cameron knows how to make movies, and visually this looks great.

I thought all of the humans were motion captured and rendered in 3d? I was going to say I recognized one of the characters in the BG as a small part actor in other movies and the rendering was amazing. But if that was just live action blended then I am not AS impressed.
I am still very impressed with it as a whole and will definitely be making it out to an imax to see it but I am still let down a LITTLE by all the hype from it all- even from Cameron.

again its mixing Live with CGI seamlessly, with 3d.
watch a movie like Sky captain and the world of tomorrow. a good fun movie, but you can tell the surroundings are fake, the cgi characters don't fit in as well.
This is going for seamless integration. but again nobody can know if its as good as it is supposed to without watching it.

December 18th(probably 17th for some sneak peak deal) the world will know and we will all hear about it I'm sure
I can probably buy tickets now. I should look into that before they sell out.
and by 3D I meant CGI not 3D as in wear the silly glasses.
