I really enjoy all the "organic" tomatoes they sell at Hannafords that are all individually wrapped in plastic. Sitting right next to the nice locally grown tomatoes still on the vine that look even better.

Really? Individually wrapped? Is that necessary...

Yeah, nothing like watching someone take the nice organic lettuce, wrapping it up in a plastic produce bag, taking it up to the register and having that wrapped up in another plastic bag...You care enough to treat yourself good but not the earth??

and then, the clerk looks at me funny when I put my lettuce right on the conveyor belt and drop it right into my brought-from-home cloth bag...I'm going to wash it before I eat it dude...

of course, that's only when it's too cold up here to grow it myself (the lettuce that is) or when I can't get it at the farmers market from a local grower...

I actually grow all of my tomatoes. But yeah... I'm fully down for the local farmer's market.

Down with HFCS though. Use the corn to make ethanol or plastic instead.

I wonder how much tequila it takes to outweigh the health advantage of never having ingested HFCS in your life.

It seems damn near impossible to avoid the stuff.

I bought some pickles a few weeks ago...hamburger slices. They were bomb. When I was throwing the empty jar away, i noticed it contained HFCS. No wonder they tasted so good.

On a side note, that "real sugar" Pepsi and Mt Dew was nasty.

I drink/eat way too much HFCS, but i'm lazy and cant cook.

We're going to have to disagree. It tasted like the Pepsi that I grew up on.

It tasted like the soda I grew up on as a kid vacationing in Canada when they still made glass bottled soda. Sooo tasty.

I hate soda now for 98% of the time. Only good when mixed with rum or whiskey.

You can always find several varieties of sodas made with cane sugar at Whole Foods Market.
That's the only kind the wife will buy now.

After watching that kingkorn doc on watch-now, I kinda doubt the hfcs contributed to the taste.
