flv in Kool Moves Media Player won't run

I created a swf file in Kool Moves using a flv in a Kool Moves media player. It works just fine in the browser inside Kool Moves but when I export it as a swf something happens and it won't play in my browser (IE or FireFox). The media player shows but the video won't play. I've fooled around with the Flash Player Global Settings and used that old Java script IE Update. Nothing works. Any ideas

This is really a very common oversight so don't beat yourself up! After awhile you will check for that yourself when there is a problem.

If your swf and html file are in the same directory as the flv file that should be enough.

    Media player problem

Yes, i think the same but is not working at all. I have my .swf file into the .html file in the same directoy as .flv file. But the funny thing is when i play the .swf file in local, i have no problem because my .fun file, .swf file and the .flv file are in the same path.

Maybe i need to change the export settings before making the .swf file, there is an option for local playblak security, but i have already tried in the two diferrent ways and still nothing happens.

Anyway, thanks for your time and if you can recommend me any other option for doing this right, i will apreciate it a lot.

    Regards.

KM generates it for you. Look in the export settings, html tab and at the bottom you wil see an option for which js file you want. (swfobject.js or AC_RunActiveContent.js) Don't think it will make a difference which one you pick but make sure you upload the one you generate. This file wil be saved in the same folder you export your swf and html to.

In the export swf and html command, the #3 box shows which files need to be uploaded.

It worked pretty good, then it looked like the link got hijacked.

Oh, I guess it is an error. It defaulted to webhost.com. Did you change something?

    Media player problem

Yes, I am happy with the final result too, about the hijacked, i do not have a clue, i have not moved any setting, let me tell you that i only use this free host server for testing, once the goal is achieved, i upload the entire information to a different host server.

Again, thanks for all your help and we will keep in touch.

    Problem exporting flv video clips

I have imported both swf and flv video clips into Koolmoves, and can view only the flv clips in the preview player, but when i export everythging as a swf file, I then cannot see the video clip at all! Why is this? Any remedies? Incidentally, this is not for a web site but to show on an iPhone (I know I would need to convert the swf file to H236!).
    Thanks
    Richard

I don't understand why you would add a flash player for an FLV then convert the thing to h264? Just convert the video to h.264 and play it. Also when you add FLV via the GUI you still have to put it in the same folder as the swf

    Exporting swf

    Bret
Perhaps I wasn't clear that I want to import an flv video clip into Koolmoves so that I can overlay text and objects on top of that clip, then export the whole thing (as an swf file since I don't seem to have any choice!). I would then convert that swf file to H264 for playing on the iPhone.
    Hope this makes more sense!

Wouldn't a video editor work better?

I have Pinnacle Studio 12 and while it would allow one layer of overlay, I don't think it allows the same kind of text and image manipulation that Koolmoves does - or does it? I also cannot get the imported video clip to be visible in Koolmoves so that I can get accurate placement of images over it - it is only visible in the preview player window. Is there a way round this?
    Any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks Richard

If it works in preview mode, it should also work when the movie is exported.
You have to make sure the flv file is in the same directory as the swf .
